TREVISO «I am proud of what the Manildo administration has achieved in this mandate and not only for the various initiatives in civil rights and in the social, cultural and infrastructural fields, among which I mention the inauguration of the Bailo museum, the rearrangement of the Santa Caterina, the national meeting of the Alpini. Above all, this administration managed to change the image of the city in Italy, finally making the national press talk about Treviso in positive terms and no longer problems and intolerance. The new Treviso Is Open logo, in this regard, well represents the significant cultural change implemented in these five years». This is the judgment of Gian Mario Bozzo on the five years of activity of the municipal administration led by Giovanni Manildo. An opinion expressed during yesterday's City Council meeting, the penultimate one of this administrative mandate, during which the director of the PerTreviso group also highlighted some data that emerged from the analysis by Fondazione Etica in the "Public Rating Report of the Municipalities".
"As a public administrator, I particularly wish to underline the important results achieved in the management of public affairs - explains Bozzo - Reduction of the municipality's debt from over 56 million euros in 2013 to just under 29 million in 2017. Treviso was ranked first among the capital municipalities in the management of its assets, because it manages to earn about 40 euros a year for each citizen. This result was possible thanks to the significant computerization effort and in particular to the updating of the real estate heritage database».
«The updating of data regarding private assets made it possible at the end of 2017 to know the 64% of properties, allowing the pre-compiled F24 form to be sent to 15,000 owners. I recall that in 2013 only the 32% of private properties was present in the database and no pre-compiled F24 was sent. With this action in the years 2016 and 2017 6.2 million euro of evaded property taxes were recovered. Despite the reduction in state transfers, the Manildo administration has also managed not to increase local taxes, indeed it has managed to exempt fellow citizens with incomes of less than 15,000 euros from the municipal Irpef surcharge».
