On Thursday 12 October, we will participate with interest and enthusiasm in the workshop "Tackling fragmentation of local government towards shared sustainable community solutions”, which will take place in Brussels as part of the European Week of Regions and Cities and will be dedicated to ITALY project, the project promoted by the Department for Regional Affairs and Autonomy of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
The Director of DARA Giovanni Vetritto, Monica Visentin of the Romagna Faentina Union and Anna Maria Giacomelli of the Camposampierese Union will dialogue with Daniele Dotto, Head of Unit Governance and Public Administration, DG REFORM – European Commission, on how the aggregation and inter-municipal policies implemented by these Unions of Municipalities have favored local government optimization processes, allowing the bodies involved to start on a path of innovation and sustainability at multiple levels.
This is in fact the objective of ITALIAE: addressing the issue of administrative fragmentation, proposing alternative paths and practical support, as in the case of the "Transparency, legality and efficiency" Experimentation Workshop, coordinated by our President Paola Caporossi, which offers Unions of Municipalities, Municipalities, Regions, un support aimed at strengthening transparency and prevention of corruption, as well as efficiency, through the sharing of existing good practices and the implementation of new forms of communication in the relationship with stakeholders, and in particular with citizens.
