TAPPA Project – Active Territories for Welcoming Countries

How social impact investments transform society into a driver of development, through the integrated regeneration of territories

The public meeting to present the TAPPA Project, promoted by: Fondazione Etica, Cooperativa Con la Mano del Cuore-I Caraccioli per il Sociale, Municipal Places with Social Impact APS, come on Municipalities of Agnone, Pietrabbondante and Isernia, Province of Isernia, Department of Regional Affairs and Autonomy of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, responsible for the project ITALYE, And UNCEM, under the patronage of CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE AGENCY.

The The Way of St. Francis Caracciolo represents the common thread of a project that intends to act on each of the dynamics that affect the progressive loss of competitiveness of the reference territory: depopulation, aging of the population, infrastructural deficiencies, individual businesses that are not updated, especially technologically, very short tourist seasons, accommodation supply inadequate to the new standards of demand, lack of major attractors.

The strategy is based on narrative potential of the Paths, as demonstrated by the models of the Camino de Santiago de Compostela in Spain and the Via Francigena in Italy, and on their connective power: the Camino itself lends itself to connecting multiple places, where each attraction factor, in addition to stimulating its own direct demand, acts as a driving force and "sponsor" of the others, creating an interconnected system in which every cultural, artistic and naturalistic asset becomes the stage of a journey and not a place in itself.

With this objective of integrated valorisation of a territory rich in nature, knowledge, traditions, gastronomic excellence, history, the promoters have already signed an operational memorandum of understanding, but not only that: the project purpose is also that of disseminate and consolidate a social impact investment model, starting from the regeneration of disused public real estate assets to "transform the social into an engine of economic development". A development in which the social is conceived not in terms of welfare, but as an opportunity to create wealth for a community, in the name of ESG (economic, social, institutional) sustainability and the circularity of people, resources, old and new. And we start from concrete cases already conceived and promoted by Fondazione Etica, such as “Lights in the Park”, already made in Tuscany, and “Common House” under construction in Naples.

The meeting is open to the public and will represent the first moment of activation of the community (citizens, entrepreneurs, trade associations, schools, third sector bodies...) that live in the area.
