Follonica: “Has the centre-left really reached the end of the line or is it hiding something from us? – asks Sandro Marrini, council leader of Forza Italia Follonica -. The group leader of Gente di Follonica, Ettore Chirici, and the group leader of Art.1 Mdp, Francesco De Luca, also president of the municipal council, presented a motion to request that the public rating method (an instrument promoted by the Ethics Foundation) be applied to evaluate public administration transparency, from performance to integrity.
Unfortunately, we should be accustomed to the contradictions that the coalition that governs our city has been showing internally for too long, but once again we cannot help but be surprised - obviously in the negative - by the umpteenth demonstration of how the political forces of the majority are inadequate the role they have been called to play. Yes, because the function of control falls – or rather, it should fall under normal conditions – to the opposition and not to the majority, which would have all the tools to check by itself, internally, whether the administrative activity it conducts respects the criteria of transparency and efficiency. In this case, however, De Luca and Chirici use a motion to officially ask for clarity: in the best of hypotheses one can think that within the center-left majority they have now reached the definitive, total break, so much so that some political forces they openly and publicly demonstrate the need for verification that they could easily ask internally. If this were not the case, it would be even worse: it would mean that Mdp and Gente di Follonica suspect that this transparency does not exist and intend to denounce it. At this point, we too await an answer. The only consolation, if we can call it that, is that soon the citizens will have the opportunity to entrust the government of Follonica to the center-right - concludes Marrini -, which will present itself united in support of a strong and authoritative candidacy ".
