Efficiency and transparency, virtuous Treviso

TREVISO – Fondazione Etica promotes Treviso. Treviso is at the top of the national rankings for efficiency, transparency and anti-corruption. According to the data provided by the Ethical Foundation, the percentage of direct assignments out of the total number of tenders drops below 50%, only in Treviso (while it exceeds 90% in cities such as Syracuse and Frosinone).
The city is also virtuous with regard to payments which, according to the classification, take place one day before the deadline.
"It is a choice of correct administration and efficient use of public resources, respecting both the principles of economic competition and the adequacy of the response to citizens' needs - he comments the councilor Anna Caterina Cabino - the Municipality of Treviso has adopted this line right from the start, preferring public tenders, even sometimes for small amounts and in any case making use of the Mepa for below-threshold purchases. I remind you that with this action in the years 2016 and 2017, 6.2 million euros of evaded real estate taxes were recovered".
