An Italian record kept in the capital of the Marca: è Treviso the most virtuous city in the management of its public assets, the one that knows how to make the most of it. Other than leasing: every citizen of Treviso "earns" almost 40 euros with the municipal management of buildings. This is stated by the "Public Rating Report of the Municipalities" created by the Ethical Foundation and anticipated by the Corriere della Sera of 8 February 2018.
To be precise 38.91 euros: this is how much the Municipality of Treviso earns every year from rents of their apartments, buildings, offices. It is the Italian city that does best in this field, followed at a distance by Cuneo (14.20 euros per capita), Brindisi (13.20 euros), Teramo (11.75 euros), Ancona (8.60 euros), Potenza (7.50 euros) and Campobasso (4.20 euros).
Negative balance is recorded, at the bottom of the ranking, for Cosenza (23.8 euros per capita net spent each year), Syracuse (-7.85 euros), Parma (-6.12 euros), Olbia (-3.90) , Brescia (-2.50) and Terni (-2.04).
The data reflects the balance between rents paid by the public administration and those received by it. And therefore it must be interpreted in the light of a series of complex data: for example, an administration that has large public assets in poor condition will find it more convenient to rent private offices rather than renovate its own.
